Obituary of Shirley Merry

On Friday, January 17, 2025, Shirley Ann Merry, beloved wife of Robert Allen Merry, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 years in Calgary, AB.

Born on August 10, 1950, in Nelson, BC, Shirley was the daughter of the late Fred and Anne Fomenoff. She was the loving sister of Gloria, Betty, and Patty, and was predeceased by her sister, Gloria.

Shirley’s passion was her beloved husband Robert, along with her immediate and extended family. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Steven and Jeff, and her daughter, Christine. Her six grandchildren, Kersten, Mitchell, Andrew, Odin, Niven, and Madison, and great-granddaughter Brielle brought so much joy and love into her life.

A private service will be held at a later date, determined by her family. No visitation, prayer, graveside service, or reception will take place.

In memory and commemoration of Shirley and her life, the family invites you to, on an appropriate day of your choosing, take the time to reminisce, remember, and raise a glass in memory of Shirley.
