Obituary of Louanne Claire DELANEY

September 30, 1932 – Calgary, AB May 19, 2014 – Calgary, AB Louanne Claire Delaney (nee Kramer), aka Granny Lou, passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice in Calgary, at the age of 81 years on Monday, May 19, 2014 – surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved husband Hugh Delaney, her five children and their partners, Nancy (Gregg) Larsen, Susan Morrow (Warren Fick), Mike Morrow (Ellen Brodylo), Margo (Tim) Mooney, Marianne Olsen (Bill Foose) all of Calgary, as well as her eight grandchildren, who she loved so much; Mat and Danny Larsen, Emily Morrow-Fick, Joey, Katie and Anna Mooney, Brett and Jackie Boy Olsen. Louanne had many relatives in her large extended family of Manfam. Our gratitude goes out to her long time caregiver and “angel” Jorelyn Dellosa and her recent assistant Marlete Camposano. Louanne was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Alice Kramer. Louanne was born in Calgary, and attended Sacred Heart Academy in Regina, SK. After high school she attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and has fond memories of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at UBC. She was a member of the IODE in Wetaskiwin, AB. Many summers were spent at “the lake” where she was one of the key drivers behind the rejuvenation of the Park at Ma-Me-O Beach. It was at the lake at “ALLOFUS” where she enjoyed many of her happiest times with her family and her dearest friends for over 50 years. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4 Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:30 am. Graveside services to follow at Queens Park Cemetery (3219 – 4 Street NW, Calgary, AB).
