I am still reeling from the sudden loss of such a dear and significant friend as Marlene was to me. My heart goes out to all of her cherished family and many friends. I am certain we all share in the privilege of having her in our life and the richness of so many wild and wonderful stories and experiences with this amazing woman.

The transformation of this drama filled golden haired princess to a fully mature generous, joyful, appreciative loving person is a story worth sharing with many. Never have I met such a bright eyed, full of life, mischievous, and curious person. She wanted to learn and understand and explore and she did that with a full and open heart. She asked questions and she listened and learned. She expressed her feelings and intellect fully. She shared her love and knowledge of music and poetry. What a gift. She loved exploring the world of ideas which was nearly always a challenge and good fun too. I will miss our shared conversations, tears, and laughter a great deal. I will miss hearing ongoing stories filled with love and gratitude for her family, care takers and friends.

I miss you Marlene. I am so glad to have shared a small part of your life.
