Obituary of Alice DONOGHUE

August 7, 1917 – Blackburn, Lancashire, England May 7, 2014 – Calgary, AB On Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the age of 96, Mom slipped quietly out of our world and into the next. No great drama; just a comforting sense of peace. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her family: four children, Tom (Gail), Eric (Julia), Anne (Mirza) and Alan; nine grandchildren, Cathy, Steven, Connie, Colin, David, Alia-Marie, Daniel, Krista and Brittany; five great-grandchildren, Adam, Daniel, Caitlin, Elizabeth and Joseph; and one great-great-grandchild. She was also treasured by many friends and family. She was predeceased by both her husband Ken and granddaughter Tegan. All who knew mom loved her for her sunny nature and love of life. A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Please wear a touch of yellow in memory of her.
