Obituary of Eva STASTNY

“I’ve had a good life” Our dear and beloved sister, sister-in-law, auntie, great aunt and good friend, Eva passed away suddenly on May 5, 2014. Eve was our heart and our life, she was a kind and beautiful person with a generous spirit. We are completely bereft by her passing. As were Eve’s wishes, she died at home with family closely by her side. At the time of her passing, she opened her eyes, looked up and had the most beautiful smile on her lovely face. We will miss her dearly and will honor her spirit of kindness, generosity and graciousness. Eva faced all of her adversities with courage, bravery and most of all, good humour. She was unfailingly polite and kind to everyone. Eve had a real sense of style and even in her final days strived to look her best. She enjoyed her life and the manner in which she faced her battle with cancer is an example for all of us. Eva has left behind her dear sisters Marg and Marta, her brother-in-law, Steve, her loving partner, John, nephew Jordan (Amy), niece Rachel (Kirk), her newborn grandnephew Alexander and her best friend, Cindy. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Stephen The Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Stephen The Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
