Obituary of Edward Ed William SAWCHUK

January 18, 1938– Weasel Creek, AB April 3, 2014 – Calgary, AB Edward William Sawchuk of Calgary passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the age of 76 years. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving father, husband, gedo, great-grandfather, and brother. Edward was known for his passion for the Edmonton Oilers and Eskimos. Edward is survived by two sons Glen (Angel) and Dale (Julie); five grandchildren, Chris (Chasity), Brian, Tyler, Morgan and Jessica; two great-grandchildren Hailey and Brayden; brothers Henry (Louise), Alex, Ronnie, and Dennis (Darlene); sisters Olga (Stanley), and Phyllis; brother-in-law Benny; sisters-in-law Dorothy, Arlette, and Verena. He was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley of fifty-two years in January, 2014; his parents George and Elena; brothers Alex, Robert, Tony, and Leonard; and sister Victoria. A Celebration of Edward’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
