Condolences
Ken has been our friend and neighbour on Gladys Ridge for over 26 years, and we are shocked and saddened by his sudden passing. We wish to offer our sincerest condolences to Ken’s family and friends. Ken will be greatly missed.
We both wanted to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of Ken. Ken helped our family with harvest for several years. He gave 100% and caught on quick to the ways of farming, despite never being a farmer. We appreciated his help and will miss him dearly.
I met Ken through a mutual friend during my high school years. Although I only knew him a very short time, he was like a big brother to me and I have very fond memories of him. Very sorry for your loss. Ken is gone far too soon.
So sorry to hear about Ken. I remember Ken mostly from junior high, from 1970 to 1973. A bunch of us from St. James Jr. High used to play pickup football on Friday nights on a big patch of grass on the other side of the fence from the Glenmore football field, where there was just enough light from the high school games. Ken was by far the biggest and strongest of us, and most times it took three or four of us to tackle him. But he was a good sport about it, and didn’t play rough or get mean with us smaller guys. Occasionally, someone would yell an anguished and exasperated “Stober!” when he was carrying two or three of us on his back, with another being dragged by a leg, but he wouldn’t go down. He was a kind character. RIP. You are fondly remembered.
