Obituary of RED GUN

February 16, 1936 – Siksika, AB March 5, 2014 – Strathmore, AB Harry Red Gun (Sino’pa) passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 5, 2014 at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years Rose; his children Rufus (Carmen), Jordon (Wanda), Dion (Cherlyene), Horton, Clayton (Donna), Grant (Deatrice), Tama, Juliette, Nena, Cheryl (Joe), Harriet (Quinton), Lizzie (Lee), Malayia, Tristen, Curly and Terrence; adopted sons Marlon Many Guns, Shane Little Bear and adopted daughter Eulalia Running Rabbit; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were all special to him; siblings Rachel, Bernadette, Lily, Patsy (Reggie), John & Frances; his special family who he grew to love as his own at his other home Travelodge, Strathmore, AB; Gerald and Laura Sitting Eagle, Ray and Tashiro Spotted One, Jackie and Clarence, and Rick Running Rabbit. He made his cursillo in Nespelem, Washington USA in1992 his theme song was “Reach Out and Touch the Lord”. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Rosaria; siblings Phyllis, Dorothy, Joseph, Elizabeth, Christy, Alex; children Twila and Romeo and twin babies Calvin and Faith; grandchildren DJ, Harry III, Babygirl, Christian and Tyrone. Extended Families Bull Bears, Many Guns, Rabbit Carriers, Scalplocks, Fox, Big Tobacco, Cut Maine, Wolfleg, Backfats, Big Throats, Pretty Young Man, Black Waters. The family apologizes if they have missed anyone. Wake Services will be held at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbor on Tuesday March 11, 2014 at 6:00 pm for friends and family. Funeral Service will be held at Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbor at on Wednesday, March 12 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Little Chicago Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB). The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the PLC, Strathmore and Foothills Hospitals, Strathmore RCMP and the Strathmore Travelodge Staff for all their kindness and support to make Harry comfortable.
