Condolences
My condolences to Leo’s family. I often think of where former classmates of mine at Estevan Collegiate are today. Sorry to read of his early departure from this earth. He was a great classmate in Grades 11 & 12, competing who could get the highest or perfect mark in the math exams.
My sincere condolences
Dear Bev, Paul and Pam,
My thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of Leo. So many memories come to mind……….remembering all the laughs and good times we shared in Swift Current.
Take care and God Bless
Hugs,
Vicky
We were so saddened to hear of Leo’s passing. He taught and coached two of our children, Tracy and Chad, and was also a colleague of mine for many years at BJM. Leo not only taught the students at BJM but was a wonderful teacher and mentor to the staff as well. I remember him helping me so much when it came to figuring out one of the new marks programs that we needed to learn. He was so helpful and patient. Leo was always respectful and professional and down to earth. Greg and I also had the privilege of working with Leo at St. Anne’s Church. Leo’s faith in God was an inspiration to all. May you find comfort in the warmth of wonderful memories and may love be what you remember most of all. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Donna and Greg Erdman and Family

Please accept our sincere sympathies at the passing of this wonderful man, Leo. We both had the honour and privilege of working with him. He was always willing to share his wisdom and expertise. He was a dedicated teacher and a great example of his Catholic faith to both the students and his colleagues. May God bless you in this difficult time and May Leo rest in the loving embrace of his Lord.

Ron and I were so sorry to hear about Leo, the last time we spoke he was feeling so well, we hoped he would be with us for a long time yet. We will miss him very much, and consider ourselves lucky to have been his neighbour.
Our thoughts are with you at this time and always.

Bev and family.
Please accept our prayers for you and for Leo. Leo was the epitome of what a good teacher should be. He was always prepared, he had the best interests of the students front and centre, he was tough, he was fair, he was intense, he loved teaching. Leo was centred spiritually and he wore his faith like a warm coat. Leo liked to laugh and he brought great joy to his classroom and to the staff room. Leo was a person you could count on to give wise advice. Bishop Mahoney High School is a better place today because of his legacy of leadership, faith, love of learning and his willingness to share himself with us all. Thank you Leo – until we meet again.

Dear Bev, Paul, Pam, Eric, Andrew, Charlotte and Alexandra
Leo was such a big part of St. Anne’s Parish family and it was an honour to know him and a delight to work with him on various committees. Please feel our warm embrace as you go through this difficult time. May Leo rest in peace and may God comfort you today and give you courage for tomorrow.
With deepest sympathies and prayers.
Dear Bev,
Our deepest sympathies on hearing about the passing of Leo as we read in the Saskatoon StarPhoenix this morning. Our family is thinking of you all at this difficult and sad time.
Dear Bev and Family, So sorry to hear of Leo’s passing. We remember both of you from your time in Radville. Bob and I are still in Radville. Bob taught for 32 years and retired 10 years ago. I EA’d for 17 years but am substitute teaching at the present. Bob has been substituting for the past 10 years. Our condolences to all of you.
Bev
Out deepest condolences on the passing of Leo. I can say that I have never met a more down to Earth man and honest man. We were so very blessed to have you as neighbours for all those wonderful years here on Laycoe Cres. Leo was always asking Nathan and Robyn how school or work was and how Anita and I were doing. His thoughts were always of others, never of himself. He was always willing to help out anytime day or night with anything that he could. I will miss our sidewalk chats and how we used to laugh about life, politics, kids and everything else under the sun. I would always tease him what time he finished painting his lawn green as it was always the most meticulously kept lawn in the neighbourhood. When I read all the comments here, it is so very evident that Leo touched so very many lives and all of them in the most positive way. Few people could only hope to be so lovingly remembered. I can’t express how badly my children feel about Leo leaving is, but believe me there is such a fondness for him that he will not be forgotten in our household. Bev, you have been blessed to have had such a wonderful partner as he most certainly did with you. Your kids could not have had a better role model as a Dad. Leo epitomized what is the very best in wonderful people. Kindness, caring, thoughtfulness, respectful and generous. I will strive to be more like him.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time.
All our love
Anita, Larry, Nathan & Robyn.
My deepest sympathies go out to the Seipp family. Mr. Seipp had a lasting impression on me, as he cultivated my love of history to the point where it became my minor at the U of S. He was a great teacher and through his classes he molded us into the proper students and people we became. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Seipp for a class each of my four years at BJM.
My lasting memory of his classes was the time we played a joke on him in Grade 12 History. He had put in a video of a CBC report and left the classroom. We swapped the tape for a copy of Starship Troopers and sat silently watching the movie until he came back. Most teachers would have become incredibly mad and threatened us with some sort of punishment. Instead, he simply stopped the tape and said, “whose tape is this?” He had a smirk on his face like he found it amusing but couldn’t show it. When no one admitted to it, he said, “I guess it is mine now, I had meant to see it.” That’s when someone spoke up and admitted to the prank. His clever wit is what I will remember most about Mr. Seipp. He will be sadly missed, but he will live on in the minds of all the students he taught. He is one of those teachers that made a lasting impression on everyone he taught.
I’m deeply saddened by the news of Leo’s passing. I have very fond memories of playing cowboys with Leo and his brother Greg in the early 1950s during my summer visits from Vancouver to our Grandmother’s farm in Estevan.
I would to extend my sincere sympathy to Leo’s family. My thoughts are with you.
Leo’s desire to help others was not limited to his students. His rich trove of well organized teaching materials found in his classroom was readily available to teachers who wanted additional materials, and he was also concerned with many issues affecting the teaching profession. My condolences to his family.
Fond memories of Leo during my time at BJM. From our family to yours, peace and comfort at this difficult time.
Our sincere sympathy goes out to Bev and the Seipp family. Not only were our children fortunate enough to have Mr. Seipp for a teacher; I (Donalda) enjoyed Leo as a colleague at BJM. Leo was an excellent teacher and respected by students and staff. Leo was a really nice man. May wonderful memories of him be with the family forever.
Bev, Paul, Pam and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Seipp’s passing. We all have teachers who have made a very profound impact on us during our education and Mr. Seipp was one of those teachers for me. He was compassionate, always prepared and organized and truly cared about his students. He was simply a wonderful person.
Please accept condolences from both myself and my family.
To the Seipp Family
At times like this it is hard to find the words that best convey the many thoughts of sympathy our hearts would like to say, but may it somehow help to know that though our words are few, we’re thinking of you warmly now and share this loss with you. Sending our deepest sympathy.
Dear Bev, Pamela & Paul & families,
We send our deepest sympathies to all of you. We know that Leo is now at peace after fighting such a brave & difficult battle. We know that you will miss him dearly and we are praying for you all. We pray that time will help to heal you and we know that Leo will be with you always in your memories.

Bev, Pam, Paul and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Leo’s passing. He and I taught history and coached football together at BJM for many years and he was a mentor for me in every way. His dedication and love of teaching was evident to me and to the students who were fortunate enough to have “Mr. Seipp” as a teacher. May the words and memories of those Leo touched give you some comfort. Our faith tells us he is in his Father’s house, but he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He lives through the lives of the students and staff he taught. Take care.

Mr. Seipp taught a vast majority of my classes in high school in 1994-1996 – he was responsible for a large number of topics in the advanced program at Bishop James Mahoney. The rigour and structure that he used for his teaching was very influential and important for establishing many of my current habits. He will be missed.
Trevor and I are very sorry to hear of Leo’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Narrie and Trevor Lowe
Our family is thinking of you during this very difficult time. Leo will always be remembered by our family as a caring, wonderful friend, teacher and man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The Elders
Sincere condolences to the Seipp family on the passing of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. Leo was one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure of working with – social science teacher, co-ordinator of the advanced program, special friend and definitely always supporter of the administration team at BJM. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Bev, Paul, Pam and family at this sad time.
Thinking of you Bev and family, as well as others who’s lives Mr. Seipp has touched over his many years teaching. As you grieve know that we are remembering you and honouring the memory of Mr. Seipp. Mr. Seipp taught me back in RRHS many years ago, Mr. Seipps’s dedication and love of teaching has touched the lives of many. He has left prints on our lives that have moulded us as students to be the people we are today.
Dear Bev, Paul, Pam and Families,
Please accept our sincere sympathies. We feel so very fortunate that our children had the privilege of having had Leo teach them and that we could call all of you our friends.
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Ray and Val Kolla
I had Mr Seipp for a couple classes at BJM several years ago and I remember him fondly. My deepest sympathies go out to his family.
Leo and I shared every year but one in our time at BJM and retired the same year, 2004. Leo was the consummate professional, always a joy to work with, always reasonable, always courteous. The kids respected and trusted him. I’m glad that he had the opportunity to enjoy several years of retirement and grandparenthood. My deepest sympathies Bev, Paul and Pam.
Mr. Seipp was my high school Social Studies teacher in the Advanced Class at BJM in 1990. He taught us all about ancient civilizations (including some facts I still remember about the Sumerians and Phoenicians!) all with an amazing sense of understated humor and tolerance for the ways of 14-year olds. He taught us Herman Hesse’s novel Siddhartha, which he loved. I remember not getting it as a fourteen-year old, but he was tolerant of my opinions and seemed to gently trust that one day I would understand. What a smart and loving teacher– I’m so glad he was there to greet me when I arrived at BJM. Now that I’m a teacher myself, I understand even better how special he was. Love and prayers to your family.
Paul, Pam and Bev,
Remembering Mr. Seipp with love and fondness – he was one of my favourite teachers – always had an impish grin, and such a sense of fun. Sending you all love as you grieve this enormous loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I always remember Mr. Seipp having fun coaching the team and being a mentor to all. Even though I never had him as a teacher, he is definitively one teacher I remember from my days at BJM (1993-1996).
