Our hearts are breaking for your family during this terrible time. The world was definitely a better place because Mike was in it. He was such an wonderful example of a loving father, and devoted husband. My childhood memories visiting the Frayn’s home was that is was always fun, and all things were done for the children, I wanted to live there too!! Please accept our deepest condolences, you were truly blessed to have a father like him and words cannot describe how heavy our hearts are for your family now. God bless, may he rest in peace.

One of the last times I spoke to Uncle Mike at my grandmother’s last birthday. I was 8 months pregnant, he pulled me aside and told me how beautiful I looked. Inside his tough exterior is a sweet hearted man. I love all my extended family and think of all of you often. Thank you for contributing to my childhood memories of riding horses, chasing chickens and importance of strong family values. Love you.
Dear Mrs Frayn and Family,
On behalf of Fr. Ockerse and our family, we would like to offer you our condolences in the loss of dear Mr. Frayn. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers. May God give you all the grace and strength you need to carry on without him here below, and give you the consolation, that only our Faith can give us, that he is not gone, but that life has just changed for him.

Although we are far away, you can be assured of our thoughts and prayers.
Our Mike was a giving, kind, awesome all around and a funny guy! I thought I was funny, but when I had my back and forth of jokes with Uncle, I swear I ran out of comebacks for him! Though we didn’t see each other as often, as we live in Winnipeg, Uncle Mike was always warm and welcoming and would always make you laugh!! We are gonna miss you Uncle! Until we meet again! God bless!

Mike had Ellen’s 6 siblings and their spouses (Margaret & David, Linda & Rick, Jim & Debby, Gordon & Karin, George, Jean & John, plus their children), that will miss Mike and his love that he had for his family & friends. RIP Mike, you are in God’s hands now. Our condolences to Ellen, our beloved sister, nieces, nephews, their children, our hearts grieve for you all. He will forever look over you, from heaven above. Love and prayers to you all.
Goodbye Mike. Besides Ellen, your beloved wife, your children, grandchildren, siblings, their spouses, and your mom, you also leave to mourn your passing, Ellen’s siblings: Margaret (David), Linda (Rick), Jim (Debby), Gordon (Karin), ever present and supportive George, Jean (John), and all their children. Your strength and commitment to Ellen and your children was ever present. Your devotion to God was shown in the way you followed your devout beliefs, through trials and tribulations. You were a quiet, yet at times boisterous, unique, determined man and the legacy of your teachings, beliefs, love, will live on in Ellen and through the children that you raised together. You will be missed, we are saddened at your passing but we know you are in God’s hands now and that you will continue to look after your family from heaven above. RIP Mike, you left too early but you will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved you. God Bless you.
Dear Ellen and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. May God rest his soul.
He was such a bright spark and leaves a huge gap
in the world as of course goes without saying. You
are all in my thoughts and prayers as you go through
this most trying time. God Bless You all.
Our thoughts and prayers from Keystone Excavating are with the Frayn’s. I am sorry to hear about the loss. Mike will be deeply missed. I still think about some of the conversations I had with Ellen when she answered Mike’s phone.
I am so devastated to hear of this. Mike was and is a good friend and such a good guy. I was introduce to Mike by a gentleman at Alberta Infrastructure who said that “You can always trust Mike’s words to be true”. So true.
My condolences to Ellen, Matt, Martin and the rest of the family.
We were so sorry to hear about Mr. Frayn passing. He was such a friendly man who was always laughing & joking around with everyone. He will be forever missed.
Our deepest condolences to Mrs. Frayn & the entire Frayn family. You are all in thoughts & prayers.
From Joseph, Paulette and Grace Loterzo of Fort McMurray:

John & Elisa & family wish to express our deep sympathy to the family on the passing of such a wonderful man and a true brother in Christ. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all.
Like the ripples in a pond, Mike’s wonderful influence, charity and deep love of family spread and touched the lives of so many people. Our hearts ache for each one of you; we’re so deeply sorry for your profound loss and immense sorrow. Each one of you is in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers. Ellen if there is anything you need or if you just want to talk, please don’t hesitate to call – day or night.
May his cherished soul rest in peace!
Sad to hear of Mr. Frayn’s passing. I remember the time he gave me a ride somewhere when I was a kid and his car was running out of gas, so he started swerving all over the road , zig-zagging his way to the gas station. I laughed then and I’m still laughing about it now, twenty-plus years later. He was a funny guy and I’m sure he’ll be missed
I will always remember Mr. Frayn with much fondness, respect and admiration. He was a great pillar of the community we all grew up in. Our prayers and sympathy are with your family.
“When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” (Kahlil Gibran)
