Condolences
My deepest condolences to Elizabeth's husband, Cyril, son John and daughter Anne. Elizabeth was a great lady and a wonderful friend. We met in the early 1970's at U. of C. in the Education Faculty where we were both studying for our M.A. degrees. We bonded over our love of music and sense of fun. I remember fondly many terrific New Year's Eve parties in her home where her fabulous trifle was always served. Elizabeth made a remarkable contribution to Calgary's music scene.
A donation has been made to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in her name.
Sincerely, Maggie McClelland (formerly Maggie Harper).
Dear Cyril and family,
We are saddened to hear of your loss. Elizabeth taught Music to my Woodlands Elementary Grade 2 classes and she tried to enlighten me. We had many laughs over my lack of musical talent. She was a special lady and I am thankful to have had the occasional connection after we all left Woodlands. Know that she was loved.

To Cyril and Family
I have so many fond memories of Elizabeth - as a friend, neighbour and fellow board member in the Bragg Creek area and through my many years of involvement in the Arts in Calgary - in particular the Calgary Philharmonic (and broader arts community).
She will be missed and remembered.

To Elizabeth's family.........I am sorry to hear of her passing. As a teacher's aide in Bragg Creek, I enjoyed a few years with Elizabeth when she taught music to the children in Bragg Creek ECS. Her weekly visits were a highlight of the week and her gift of music to the children will last them a lifetime and her music will live on. She was a wonderful lady. Sincerely, Marjorie Innes (formerly of Redwood Meadows).
Our deepest condolences to John, Anne, and Cyril. We have very fond memories of Elizabeth and Cyril in Bragg Creek. The distinctive voice coming in to our veterinary clinic with Lucky and her laugh. Kind, friendly, and caring. We miss a lot of those 'Creekers that enriched our lives in the 80's through 2000's.
Dear John and Anne,
I extend my sympathies to each of you on the passing of your Mother.
My family and yours lived a couple of streets apart in St. Andrew's Heights, Calgary. I knew your parents through "The Cathedral" - your mum was a wonderful organist there - and that is how I ended up babysitting you as very young children in the mid-1960s. John, you were 2-3 years of age and I loved you. You called me "nonna" :) Anne, you were younger and I ended up moving away, but I remember you as a darling with short, very dark hair. I remember peeking downstairs at the harpsichord and clavichord but would not dare to touch them. Your mother taught my sister, Shirley, piano for awhile. It is possible that your father may remember me/us. My parents were Allan and Alice McQuarrie.
I will do my best to attend the memorial service on Oct. 26th.
