Condolences
Kelly’s life intersected with mine for only a few short years, but his effect was nevertheless significant and positive. Six years ago, I left my long-time job at an accounting firm and took my current position at Advantage. This mid-life and mid-career move was absolutely terrifying at the time. I was older than my peers by more than a decade, and they had me beat on oil and gas industry knowledge. Kelly took great interest in educating me and quickly. He did not see this as a chore, but a passion. He made a point of bringing me into important meetings that dealt with Advantage’s future. It was an honour to be so respected and trusted by someone so accomplished. From Friday’s service, I learned that I was not alone. Kelly had this same effect on so many people. He saw potential in everyone. I am very sad that he has left us so soon. I hope that his immediate family and closest friends are comforted by the fact that even though he is gone, his mark on this world — through his positive effect on so many people — is truly eternal.
I was so sorry to hear of Kelly’s passing and wish to extend my deepest condolences. He was a good man and I really enjoyed working with him at Enerplus.
Dear Jan,
I am so saddened to hear of Kelly’s passing. My thoughts are with you and the girls as you come to terms with the loss of your loved one.
My sincere condolences, Jean. (J.P.s )
Jan, Ginny and Natalie,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Kelly was a wonderful guy and a big part of the Burden family all the way back to 1971. We pray for your strength and comfort in God’s embrace through this trying time.
I am shocked and saddened to hear of Kelly’s passing. I have known Kelly for 17 years from the perspective of a banker to his companies. His intelligence, knowledge and drive served him and all stakeholders well. His clarity of mind and honesty made him a pleasure to work with. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
Hi Debbie, Kevin, Darcy and Dean,
My sincere condolences on the passing for your brother Kelly. It was sad to see the announcement in the newspaper. Upon reflecting back to my days at Pannaber and Scarlett, I have only fond memories of my interaction with the Drader family – great students and great athletes. Please pass on my sympathies to your sister-in-law Jan and her girls.

Kelly was a very special guy. I had the pleasure of knowing Kelly through the Willow Park Golf Club. His spirit of generosity was very evident at the Willow Park Charity Classic, his giving helped many lives and I know he felt privileged to be able to help. We too feel privileged to have known Kelly. Those close to him will all have great memories of Kelly to share in the days ahead. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Larry and I sit here tonight reminiscing about this affectionate and thoughtful man! Kelly always made you feel so special!! We were fortunate to have spent our honeymoon staying at Jan and Kelly’s home. They were the ultimate honeymoon host and hostess!! The two of them were always a team, a couple that exhumed love and couple hood!! Larry and I were just visiting with them and were hoping that they would find a home in AZ and that we could once again spend some time together!! We love you Kelly and feel special to have watched you develop into an amazing husband, boss, and father!!
Deepest Condolences to you Jan, Ginny, Natalie, and the others in the Drader family. It was difficult news to receive when Debbie contacted me Sunday. Having just lost my wife, Gerri, I can understand the pain you are going through. Good memories will keep our loved ones alive for the rest of our time on this Earth.
