Mother,

I just learned of your passing through an internet search. You were my birth-mother. In the family tree – I think I came in, somewhere around the middle. I believe I was child number 3. I was called “Glen”.

We had contact only once a few years ago – but it meant a lot. I had hoped that we would someday meet – but it wasn’t meant to be. I hope that your life was a happy one. I can see by postings here that you were loved and will be very missed.

I will never forget my Lil Big Sister, her funny laugh, her love for family and friends. She was a firecracker in life, often fighting battles for her or her childrens rights and wellbeing. But Sadly, this was a battle she fought, knowing she couldn’t win. I didn’t get to see her much in the last few years, but I never stopped loving and caring for my Lil Big Sis, I will miss you greatly Shirley, you were one of a kind!

I have lost my big sister, who, when I was a child, looked after me, worried about me, loved me. I will always remember her laugh, it was contagious. My big sister had somewhat of a hard life, at times, but in saying that, she always had the strength to get through. To her children, grandchildren, her friends, I am so sorry for your loss, but she will always be there, in everyone’s heart, memories of the woman we all knew, and loved. So, I have lost my big sister, my heart is sad, one day I had her, the next,she was gone. So, I have to believe she is in a better place, but my heart is sad, because I have lost my big sister.

the best mom the world may hold.

after this life when I die.

I always wanted to tell you Mom,

I love you, you know its true.

If god gave us the choice to choose a mother,

I would always choose you!
