Our condolences to the families. We first met Gord shortly after he came to Calgary and knew Viv even earlier and have maintained our friendship over all these yeas. We were shocked to hear of Gord’s passing. He will be greatly missed. Sorry that we will not be able to attend the service due to our disabilities.

Vivian, Sylvia and I were saddened to hear of Gord’s passing and want to extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I remember well those early years in Calgary meeting and working with Gord in the persuit of building a viable business which he accomplished with dedication and good humour. Ross
Dear Vivian and family:
I appreciated the association with Gordon on committees that we served on. He was a real asset to St David’s and a pleasure to be with. I’m sure all who knew him are missing him.
Sincerely.

Deman Family, I was very sad to her of your dad’s passing, when my aunt phoned to let me know. We had a lot of great times with your parents in the Couples Club at St Davids. He always had a smile and a hug when I saw him at the Colonel Belcher when I went to visit Mrs Crowder. God Bless you all and your mother. Sorry I cannot be there to attend, but live at Courtenay B.C. now. Maxine Gibson
Sending deepest sympathies to the entire family from Toronto on Gordon’s passing. Wishing you strength and community during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Scott White
The Denman Family,
We are so very sad to read of Gordon’s passing on Monday. Mom, Doreen Crowder, lived in The Seniors Residence at The Colonel Belcher. When we went to visit her we would always have a little chat with Gordon who quite often would be outside on the bench or in the lobby by the fireplace. Gordon and Vivian were good friends of Mom and Dad (Doreen and Lorne) and they all had so many fun times at Couples Club at St. Davids for so many years. Your Dad was a pallbearer for Dad’s (Lorne) funeral. Your Mom and Dad were such a special couple and always had a kind word to say when we met them. We know your Mom is now in Bow View and sad to say Doreen is at The Bethany in Cochrane with Alzheimers Disease.
Mom unfortunately won’t be able to be at the service on Saturday, but we plan to be there.
Lynne and Keith Crowder
We were saddened to learn of Gordon’s passing. He was a good neighbour of ours and was the kind of man who seemed able to go on forever. Sorry for your loss.
The Penn family.
So sorry to hear about Gordon, please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family

Edna Hunt, my mother-in-law was Gordon’s table mate over the past few years at the Colonel Belcher. I enjoyed chatting with him when I was over to visit my mom. Vicky McLeod (she passed away at the end of July 2013) and Edna. He was always smiling, a good conversationalist and listener. As it happens, Edna passed away Wednesday, February 5. I had a chat with Bill Greene today, their other table mate and he seemed so sad to lose two of his good friends. May both Gordon and Edna rest in peace.
