LOMHEIM, Raymond John December 15, 1943- Cardiff, Wales January 29, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband to Grace Ann Lomheim (predeceased) and friend to many, on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 70 years. Ray served his country proudly in the Royal Canadian Navy and worked for over 35 years at Canada Safeway. Ray was very loyal, and a hard worker with the utmost integrity. He was generous, kind and a true gentleman who always put his family and friends first. Ray had a great love of animals and always stood up for those who could not stand up for themselves. Our father was a simple man with a big heart who loved nothing more than to give. Rest in peace dad, you will be truly missed by those who love you. Ray is survived by his three children, Kristina, Laura (Simon) and Michael (daughter-in-law Kendra). He will be missed by his nieces Kathy and Shannon (Harvey) and his nephews John and Doug and their families. Ray was predeceased by his sister Pat Cobb and her husband Roy Cobb. At Ray’s request, no formal service will be held. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so in a manner they best see fit. Condolences may be forwarded through .
