Obituary of Gail Marie ROZON

ROZON, Gail Marie June 14, 1947 – Winnipeg, Manitoba January 28, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Gail Rozon, beloved wife of Gordon of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the age of 66 years. Gail obtained her BA and BEd from Queen’s University, as well as her MA from Portland, the latter taken part time while teaching and raising Jessica. She retired after 35 years of teaching first in Yellowknife and then Calgary. She loved cooking, quilting, gardening, jewelery, and being an educator; she loved anything to do with books. She volunteered for literacy causes mainly in support of childhood education in both Calgary and Baja, Mexico. She was passionate about her family and friends, and admired and loved by all that she met. Gail is survived by her beloved husband Gordon; her daughter Jessica; sister Judi (Howard) Lutman; brothers Jon (Judy) Dack, Kevin Dack and Dennis (Karen) Dack; nieces and nephews Tara, Amanda, Sarah, Erin, Jeffery, Justin, Kendra, Caroline and James and great nephew Zach and great niece Emily. In addition, she is survived by Gordon’s side of the family; Bob (Claudine) Rozon, Jack (Shirley) Rozon, Carol (Bud) Granley, Denise Rozon as well as 17 nieces and nephews. “There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains.” No formal service will be held.
