PLANTJE, Janice Marie April 9, 1954 – Calgary, AB January 22, 2014 – Calgary, AB With her immediate family by her side, Janice Plantje passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 after a long brave fight with ALS. Born and raised in Calgary, Janice was an avid golfer, amazing cook and wine connoisseur. She will be missed for her sense of humour, strong will, and love and pride for her family. Janice is survived by her loving husband Lorne; children Joel (Sheena), Nick and Laura; her cherished granddaughter Avery; her dearest loving father James (Jim) Fendall; her sister and brother-in-law Val and Rick Tiede; her brothers Jay and Dale Fendall; step-daughter Dru Plantje (Marc), their son Alex, and numerous loving extended family members. She will be dearly missed by her dog Charley. Janice was predeceased by her mother Violet Fendall. The family would like to thank Dr. Kim Wilmot for his continued support, her homecare assistant and friend Jessica Balaski, and all her close friends and family for loving support over the past decade.
