Obituary of Delbert Earl BEARSPAW

February 21, 1958 – Calgary, AB January 2, 2014 – Morley, AB Our dear son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin and uncle was called home by our Creator on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 55 years. Delbert enjoyed working with power tools, carpentry, and the great outdoors. He worked in both the Oil Field Industries and Motor Vehicle Mechanics. Delbert is survived by daughters Larissa and Morning-Dove; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; mother Margaret Bearspaw; sisters Berva, Cecilia, Rhonda (Hirren), Sandy, and Geraldine; and brothers Derek, Farren, and Toby (Lynette), nieces Linda (Waylon) and family, Naomi (Dennis) and Sunshine, paternal and maternal aunts and uncles Marlene Onespot, Kathleen Powderface, Beatrice Powder and Gerald (Jenny) Clarke, Betty, Donna May, Lawanda, Waylon, Matthew, Harvey and Torrin Kaquitts all of Morley, Alberta; along with sisters Sharon and Rosemarie Rider of Eden Valley, Alberta. Delbert was predeceased by his father Johnston Powderface, brothers Aaron Powderface and Bernard Bearspaw, sisters Twillo and Patricia Bearspaw, grandparents Isaiah Powderface, Lucille Lefthand, Albert Bearspaw and Hazel Jimmy John, uncles Terence Powderface, Fred Powder Sr. and Albert Kaquitts, aunts Mabel Lefthand and Joan Cecil; and niece Cherokee Littlechild-Bearspaw. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Delbert Bearspaw on Tuesday January 7, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at the Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Jimmy John Cemetery (Morley, AB).
