Davidson-Wahler, Christina (nee Hosick) July 12th 1925 – Cookstown, N. Ireland December 28th 2013 – Calgary, Canada Chris was the beloved wife of two good men, Andrew Lenstrum Davidson and in later years, Simon John Wahler. Chris is survived by her children and stepchildren Jack Davidson (June), Christine Nalder (Scott), Laurel Franklin (Kevin), Ken Wahler, her 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, her siblings Dorothy Lavery and Billy Hosick, and by many cherished nieces and nephews in N. Ireland. At age 88 Chris was predeceased by many of her family including her two husbands, brothers Harry Gibson and John Hosick, her aunt “Our Rita” who was really more like a sister to her, and her nephew Eddie Lavery. Our “Belle of Belfast City”, Chris taught all her grandchildren the songs of her native Belfast and gave them a love of all things Irish while respecting and appreciating the blessings of living in Canada. Her strong Irish accent was recognised by all and understood by many. She lived openly, loved easily and had an infectious joy for life.
