Obituary of William Guy NEWBERRY

September 30, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Bill Newberry passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the age of 86 years at the Rockyview Hospital.

 

Bill worked as an ironworker for many years throughout the province of Alberta. He then went on to author and publish The Handbook for Riggers which he sold successfully for more than 45 years. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 50 years and organized many special events for them.

 

Bill will lovingly be remembered by his two daughters Fenella (Craig) Newberry and Natasha (Jeremy) Newberry.  He is also survived by his brother Ken (Pat) Newberry and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Rollande and William Newberry; and his sisters Aline (Rene) Charron and Evelyn (George) Alloro.

 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 18, 2019, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
