Obituary of David HAWES

HAWES David S. Dec. 29, 1956 – Dec. 18, 2013 David (Dave) Spence Hawes, born in Kitimat, British Columbia passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Dec. 18, 2013 at the young age of 56. It is with loving thoughts and sad hearts that we say goodbye after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dave was a loving father to Geoffrey and Trevor Hawes (mother Cindy Walsh) and Martii Minkkinen (mother Marita Minkkinen). Dave is survived by his mother Ruth, brothers John, Michael, and Peter and their families, and is predeceased by his father John. Dave was also embraced by his extended family, Sandy and Garry Bilinski, Alyson Bilinski (the daughter he never had), and Ashley, Steve and Christopher Patterson. A magnificent person, he will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends. At Dave’s request, there will be no Funeral Service; however, family and friends are welcome to join in a Celebration of Dave’s Life on Friday, Dec. 27th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bilinski home.
