Obituary of Eileen Elizabeth ROBINSON

November 23 1931 – Calgary, Alberta December 6 2013 – Calgary, Alberta Eileen, beloved wife of Brian of Calgary, passed away on December 6th, 2013 at the age of 82 years due to complications following a heart attack. Eileen was born in Calgary on November 23, 1931. She attended school in both Calgary and Red Deer. Eileen then continued her studies in Edmonton, attending Business College. She went on to work in Calgary as a secretary in the oil and gas industry. She was married to her loving husband Brian on December 19, 1964. After marrying, she devoted herself to being a homemaker and mother. She and Brian lived and raised their children in Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta. Her greatest achievement was raising her three wonderful daughters and welcoming her two precious grandchildren. Eileen loved travelling with her family and friends both overseas and in the US. She was a long-time member of Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club in Calgary where she enjoyed golf, bridge, and many social events. Movies and theatre were her passions, particularly musicals. Eileen was a vibrant woman who managed her health challenges with grace. We would like to thank Drs. Dan Botha, Chris Armstrong, Randy Moore, Peter Wilkin, and Dan Muruve for their care over the last several years. Also, we would like to thank the staff and physicians of the Rockyview Coronary Care Unit and Cardiology Unit (71). A special thanks goes to Nancy Clark, CCU Nurse Practitioner. Eileen is survived by her husband Brian; three daughters, Joy Robinson, of Calgary, Laura Robinson and her husband Dale Kartushyn, of Atlanta, Sara and her husband Joe Pereira, of Calgary, and her two grandchildren Paige and Leo Pereira. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Harris, her niece Jennifer Harris and her husband Lennie Kaplan, her nephew Robert Harris, her brother-in-law David Robinson and his wife Dorothy. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Laura Christensen and her brother-in-law Kenneth Harris.
