Obituary of John Dave NUGENT

October 10, 1964- Montreal, Quebec November 20, 2013 – Calgary, Alberta With remarkable strength and grace, Dave Nugent passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the age of 49 years. Dave came to the west from Ontario to join his siblings. He studied at SAIT and graduated as an A.M.E. It was while working at Canadian Regional Airlines that he met the love of his life, a flight attendant, Kim. They had 3 beautiful children together, and family became the most important part of their life. Dave was always there to cheer on all the accomplishments of his kids. He was happiest standing at the end of a hockey rink cheering on his son and analyzing the game with the dads. Dave made many friends in aviation and culminated his career with his favorite job. He loved his travels but he was always happiest at home, surrounded by family, with a glass of wine and good food. Dave fought a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Our family was blessed with many angels; our homecare team, our soup angels, our helpful friends/family, the hockey community, teachers and gracious aviation friends. Dave is survived by his loving wife Kim; his children Alexandria, Katelyn and Noah; sisters Pamela Nugent and Tracy Singleton and brother Peter Nugent. Dave was predeceased by his parents Robert and Barbara Nugent, his father in law Patrick Gorman. Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 SILVERGROVE DRIVE N.W.), on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 1 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
