Treasured memories of a special friendship . . . . In our years growing up in Fort Macleod, Gord and I took every opportunity to head across the Old Man River to spend countless hours sharing every “adventure” we encountered (or created). They were magical times shared with a like-minded kindred spirit. My heart aches at his passing.

Through many visits to his store, casting lessons around Calgary and two trips to Cuba I feel richer for Gord’s friendship, ready advice, and dry wit. He will be missed by many of us in the fishing community, and my thanks to you all for sharing him with us. My deepest sympathies to Mary and the rest of his family. Tom

Gord will be missed by all of us in the Fly Fishing Community. Having known him since he took over the store from Peter, I became more involved with him and the shop as he developed his passion for supporting local charities such as the annual fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Wish Foundation. His legacy of giving will live on for a long time.
