Condolences
To My Dearest Brother David
It is so hard for me to accept you have been gone for a year.
Today I want to stop and light a candle in your memory.
May the lighting of this candle be a reminder of the memories we shared together.
Fond memories of you and me visit me everyday, and remembrance of you keeps you near to me.
You were knowledgable and smart in the many things you did.
And the positive and gentle way you guided me shaped my character, moulded my spirit and touched my heart.
You always had a kind word for everyone you knew.
You held many roles in life

Dear Bio Dad,
It has been just over a year since I came to see you. I was so thankful and blessed to not only visit with you but also to know that we loved each other.
I learned so many things about you in our short visit. It was amazing to hear about your gardening, to see your heart and to share in your wit.
I was honoured that you were my bio dad and that by being my bio Dad you helped to shape me into the woman that I am today.
My only regret is that I did not get to know you earlier.
Ty to my special Woods family for accepting me and loving me.
I love you Dad. Xoxo Marjorie
Sandy I am so sorry for your loss.
I was sorry to hear that Dave passed on so soon after retiring from SAIT, he really didn’t get much time to enjoy the new chapter in his life. I always remember Dave coming into the office in the morning with his big walking stick, it didn’t matter what the weather was like you could count on seeing Dave making his way across the campus with a purposeful stride. He was a valuable member of our team and a wonderful human being, he will be missed.
Cindy
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I live close to Ched Woods on Cambrian Road and will miss seeing him treck down the road with his walking stick. Dave always had a smile and a great sence of humor. I had the opportunity to work with Dave in the School of Hospitality and Tourism at SAIT for 16 years. He will be missed.
Hello
My name is Steven Lepine, i had the pleasure and most fond memories of Chef Woods when i attended Sait in 2000. Chef Woods was of my most favorite teachers, he had a wonderful way of teaching and great sense of humor. I now teach at Sait and i hope that one day i may be become an inspiration to my students, like Chef Woods was for me.
My condolences to the family and friends
sincerely
Steve Lepine
My deepest sympathies to Sandy and family for your loss. I always enjoyed Dave and Sandy’s visits when they would stop by the house on their daily walks around the neighborhood. I enjoyed Dave’s wry sense of humor and he always had a smile on his face. I will miss that. The neighborhood won’t be the same without you Dave.

Dear Sandy and Family:
So sorry to hear about your loss of Dave. Another wonderful person taken from this world at a young age.
I know that my late husband, Hans always enjoyed working with Dave in meat cutting at SAIT as they both took pride in their profession.
My thoughts and sincere condolences go out to you.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of Dave. He was always a pleasure to work with at SAIT.
My sincere condolences are being sent to you Sandy and family.
Hermann Greineder.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Sandy.
Take care.
Sandy, I am so very sorry to hear about Dave. He was the oldest of the cousins. I spent many happy times at the John Woods house, as a girl, chasing Grant, Kerrie, Gina and Barry around. Dave was older and ‘wiser’. He will be missed by us all. We are sending you all our love and support to help you through. XXX Cyndy
Sandy: We are saddened to read of Dave’s passing. He was ever a good neighbour, a source of good gardening advice, both a privilege and pleasure to have known him. Our deepest condolences
I’m saddened to read that Dave didn’t get a chance to enjoy a longer retirement. He was always a breath of fresh air and pleasure to kibbutz with. My condolences to all of you.
Sincerely, alita
My deepest sympathies to friends and family of Mr. Woods. When I think of Dave I smile as he was always happy and had time to chat about everything and anything. He was so knowledgable about so many topics. He will be truly missed and was a joy to know.

I remember Chef Dave well. He worked tirelessly to make sure those students knew every bone on every animal they processed in meat cutting. I think Dave would have made a good Dr. of Veterinary Medicine. He was a credit to his profession. My only regret is that we didn’t see more of him after he retired. Maybe that is part of his legacy that when our peers retire let’s make sure we keep in touch. God bless you Dave. W’ell miss you. ———— Sean
Im sorry for your loss. Chef Woods was my favorite instructor in my first year apprentiship 20 years ago and Dave made me feel very welcome when I joined on as a Chef Instructor (7 years ago) at SAIT.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of your family during this time of grieving.
