Obituary of Duff Neil SHELLEY

October 7, 1938 – Kelowna, BC September 26, 2013 – Calgary, AB Duff (Neil Wayne) Shelley was born on October 7th, 1938 in Kelowna, BC. Kelowna was where he was raised, attended school, partook in a few shenanigans, and where he met and married the true love of his life, Jacci, in 1960. Duff was an entrepreneur all his life and ran many successful businesses like a water softening company, a pool company, a motorcycle dealership, and a bulk mailing business. In Duff’s retirement years, he and his “Sweetie Pie”, spent 10 years living the Gypsy lifestyle in their motorhome travelling all over the warmer parts of the US and northern Mexico with their beloved kitty cat. In 2006, Duff and Jacci decided to put some roots back down and settled in Okotoks, AB, to be closer to their two daughters (JoDean and Janneane), their son-in-laws (Alan and Brad), and their 7 grandchildren (Grace, Elizabeth, Shirin, Jory, Jevin, Jaelyn, and Dave). Duff was an incurable flirt and constant tease. His many one-liners and jokes were the constant source of laughter. He loved fishing, motorbikes, sports cars, animals, music, good food, liquid cheer, and friends, but most of all – he loved his family. In fact, I think he would say his greatest achievement in life was meeting Jacci and growing their wonderful family. For all those that had the pleasure to know him, he will be very much missed. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. A Celebration of Duff’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through .
