BRUCH, Anna Maria January 7, 1915 – Willowbunch, SK July 17, 2013 – Calgary, AB Anna Maria Bruch of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the age of 98 years. Anna lived a remarkable life. She was born in Willowbunch, Saskatchewan on January 7, 1915, the fourth of seven children. Anna was a very independent woman. She worked in several fields, primarily as a stenographer, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. Anna met her husband Henry in Regina, SK and they married December 30, 1950. Michael and Joann were born shortly after, and they lived in Winnipeg and Churchill, Manitoba before settling in Calgary in 1959. Anna always took great care of herself and everyone around her. She was renowned for her hospitality; family and friends were constantly visiting from near and far to be treated to Anna’s fantastic cooking. Anna is survived by her children Michael (Joan) and Joann Saunders (Rod Ortmann); grandchildren Ryan (Lorianna), Aaron (Michelle), Simone (Natalie), Kevin and Alix. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Bruch, as well as her three sisters, and three brothers. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through .
