My thoughts and prayers go out to Jennifer’s family and dear friends. Jennifer was always so kind and soft-spoken with the students she worked with, and had endless patience. As a colleague, I found her to be such a caring individual, who was always respectful, genuine and honest. It is an honor and a privilege to have worked with Jennifer. Jennifer was always true to her culture and proud of her family. I feel in my heart that Jennifer is in Heaven now teaching the little ones — quietly listening to them, and helping them, with all of the patience and kindness that she displayed here. In class today, a Grade 10 girl recalled that Jennifer had been her teacher’s helper back in third grade, and that she had made a memorable impact on all of the students. What a fitting & heartfelt tribute to such a fine lady. With over 40 years as a teacher’s assistant, Jennifer’s kindness has touched many, many students and her compassionate nature will be fondly remembered for years to come. She will be sadly missed at both of the schools, by the staff and students alike. Rest In Peace, Jennifer. Till we meet again.
