Obituary of Richard Man Wai LING

1936- Hong Kong 2013 – Calgary, Alberta Richard Man Wai Ling, beloved husband of Judy Yuk Mui Ling (nee Ng) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Man Wai served as a career civil servant for the Hong Kong government for twenty-nine years. He was a member of the South Calgary Chinese Evangelical Free Church. Richard was respected and loved by colleagues, friends, family and the church community. He will be greatly missed by all. Man Wai is survived by his wife Judy Ling; sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Ling, Joseph and Amy Ling, Matthew and Yvonne Ling, and Henry Ling and Kim Wan Yan Wong; daughter Deborah Ling; and grandchildren, Brittany, Kristen, Cynthia, Ethan, and Giles. Man Wai was predeceased by his daughter Wai Chu Ling. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at South Calgary Chinese Evangelical Free Church (340 – 39 Avenue S.E.) on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
