Condolences
So saddened to hear of Beard’s passing, our condolences to all his Family & Friends
I was truly, deeply honored to have been a part of his life for over 23 yrs, the wisdom he shared…a smile that lightened an entire room, how he loved with his whole heart…and his way with the youth, the huge impact he made in all of our lives as he mentored & loved my 2 sons Grant (JR) & Austin (Auzzie) like they were his own, as he often referred to them as “his boys” & was always there when they needed direction. One of greatest teachings was helping me in being able, “to see through the eyes of a child” and we all know how the Pirate loved his music…”you had to feel the music!” The greatest honor was being a part of the Celebration of Beard’s Life would like to say a special Thank You to all who made that possible, and sending him off with that BIG SMILE on his face…’til we meet again, My Dearest Friend…as you know, I will be searching for you…I need to see that smile…that warms my heart, ever so dearly…Forever in our Hearts & missed more than words can ever say…
One Love, One Heart :))
With all my love and heart I am so happy to have known this dear man..He was my guidance and protector as well the best Teacher I will ever know!!Rest in peace my friend, and I will see you someday…Please look after my Mom up there in Zion until I can join you..Love to all!!
I knew Beard for many years. He loved his music especially Burning Spear, Bob Marley, and Dennis Brown. I played the music he loved ,and we all celebrated Beard’s life after the funeral. There were many people here that afternoon, and evening, and until the wee hours of the morning we closed the door at 3 AM. The people who came were all friends of Beards they were all ages, young and old. We saw people we haven’t seen for years and everyone was gathered here to share thier stories and some were laughing others crying it was truly an awesome gathering for the love, and respect of one man and that was Norville McDermott! He’s gone on ahead another one of God’s Soldiers as many before him too many too mention, but, Bob Marley, and Dennis Brown are there so I know they welcomed him in from the cold! Beard if by chance you see my dear deceased mother Mrs. Edith Dawkins or Cheryl’s mom Mrs. Gladys Harper whom you met years ago along with Cheryl’s now grown children please give them one of those smiles of yours and say “hi” until we meet again God Bless and RIP. PAWA & Cheryl.
