I met Val at HIppocrates in 2010 and will always remember her as a very special woman with the most peaceful spirit! I was blessed and honored to have met her. We were all shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. Although our lives intertwined in various ways over the years Kristin and Julia, experiences at Midlands, encounters on the golf course, my strongest memories of Val revolve around music and the joy she drew from it. I can fondly recall her playing at church, our shared experiences with piano purchases, her love of teaching music and the sheer guts it takes to return to the discipline of music lessons as an adult.
