Brian and family,
I would like to offer you my most sincere sympathy at this time. Louise truly was an angel that walked among us. Her smile was most contagious and she had a warm, gentle love that beamed from her beautiful eyes. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Louise was one of the first teachers I became friends with when I came to Canada from England and got a job at St. Cyril’s 30 years ago. Many new teachers started that year, and we had a wonderful few years, with lots of laughs and great memories. Through the ensuing years I always kept in touch with Louise and enjoyed her company, whether in school or out of it. She was so sunny and so energetic; always full of fun, energy and new ideas. I was so looking forward to when we both retired, for I knew that she would be the one to lead new adventures and continue to seek new experiences and good times. She was an extraordinary person, who inspired the best in everyone around her, and I will miss her dearly.
Rest in peace, dear friend, but enjoy your heavenly reward, for you deserve it. Know that you were dearly loved in life.
We were all blessed to know and love Louise. She will forever be in our hearts and she is missed beyond words. There is definitely a new angel in the heavens and we can pray to our new guardian angel. God Bless all of you and keep you strong to support each other.
love, Rosemarie and Armond

I recently heard about the death of Louise. It took me by surprise, and I felt my heart sink to the bottom of my stomach. She was a colleague and and friend, and yes, all that knew Louise could not help but love her. She shared her strong spirituality,and joy of life.
Her dynamic personality of caring, sharing herself with others, influenced us to be a better teacher, friend, and a better person.
Louise is now a Saint in heaven. In honour of her memory, I will pray often for her intercession for peace. Especially in our families, for our youth, aur schools, our Parishes, and the whole world. Because of her, the Holy Spirit and Heavenly Mother will bless all of you and all of us that knew her.
Thank you Louise. We miss you.

“God understood our thirst for
knowledge, and our need to be led
by someone wiser;
He needed a heart of compassion,
of encouragement, and patience;
Someone who would accept
the challenge regardless of the
opposition;
Someone who could see potential
and believe in the best in others…
So He made Teachers – He made Mrs. Doherty.”

Dear Brian and extended family,
I too had the pleasure of working with Louise at Father Whelihan and she was the best organizer I ever met. She did so much for the school but went way and beyond when she orchestrated my retirement party including bringing a rather large gazebo from her own backyard! I remember her fondly as a lady with guts and pizzazz. The angels are smiling for you Louise. God bless all the family at this sad time in your lives.
Brian, I am deeply saddened to hear of Louise’s passing. All of us involved with the Children’s Link Society greatly respected Louise for her courage of conviction, common sense and warm heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and you at this time.

What a pleasure it was to be in the company of Louise. I always felt lighter around her so classy, funny and loving. She made the world a better place and me a better person. I was lucky to have known her and can’t express how much I’ll miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult period. You (we) now have an angel smiling down on us.
Louise was a beautiful person who touched many many lives. She will be missed. Don’t cry with sorrow but celebrate her life.
Brian, I am so sorry to hear of Louise’s passing. I worked with her at 2 different schools and had been looking forward to working with her and Maureen again at Don Bosco when Louise found out about her cancer. Whenever anyone got together with Louise there was always a lot of laughter. She saw the funnier side of life. I’ll bet she has sure livened up heaven and has redecorated God’s den and the women’s washroom. After the sadness abates you will have so many wonderful memories to laugh about. She has been greatly missed by all of us who taught with her.
Louise was an out-going, caring, fun and beautiful lady! I’ve only worked with her for about two months but I will always remember her as the one who hired me to work in my first school with the District. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. God bless.
Dear Brian, Elise, Sean and Amanda,
It is hard to find the words to express what a great loss it is with Louise’s passing. She was such a beautiful person with the most gracious soul. She always went the distance willingly and it was truly a honour to work by her side. Louise had such a wonderful sense of humour, generousity that had no bounds and a love of life that was especially contagious. She was and forever will be my hero.
Dear Brian and Family,
I want to express my deep and sincere condolences to you. I knew Louise through my role as Consultant, RE & Family Life for CCSD. Louise was such a lovely person to work with. Her dedication to her family and to the students and staff of her school community was immense and clearly evident in every conversation we had. Louise’s Faith was at the core of all of her actions and interactions. She was such a wonderful role model and I feel so blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you now and in the days to come.
Blessings, Christine Louie
I worked with Louise for one year at St. Sebastian. Louise would always light up a room when she walked into it. Her contagious smile and upbeat positive attitude will always be my favorite memory of her. My condolences and prayers are with your family.
Words are hard to find right now. We went through a horrible disaster in 2011. We lost our home to fire in Slave Lake. Louise stepped up and organized a drive for us to help replace our lives. We are forever grateful for this and for all of her co-worker’s who assisted. I last saw Louise at my Sister’s wedding in July 2012, she told me at the time that she was stage 4. As always with Louise she accepted this with grace and dignity. We will miss you Louise. I know you have new challenges that await you. God Speed my Cousin and Friend.
Dear Brian, Elise, Sean and Amanda,
The world is a much sadder place with the loss of such a beautiful soul. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, God Bless!
Hi Brian and Family,
My thoughts are with you in this difficult time. You came to share my grief when Robbie died. I wish I could offer you the same comfort. I will be with you in spirit and have you in my prayers. Please take care.
I’m so sad for each and every one of you. I unfortunately know all too well the pain of losing someone so close to you. I didn’t have the extreme pleasure of knowing my cousin Louise very well but I know my dad loved and respected her tremendously and always spoke very highly of her. Just this past Christmas I came across an old postcard Louise sent my dad shortly after he had been out west to visit your family and I was overcome with warmth and love simply from the sweet words she wrote to him. May God give you strength and may intimate, loving memories comfort you. Heaven is certainly brighter now. Say hi to dad for me sweet Louise.
With heartfelt sympathy, Alisha xoxo

So, do not grieve as she is in the arms of Jesus.
