Dear Aunt Karin and Family,
Our family was so very sad to hear of Uncle Rolf’s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and hearts and prayers. There are so very many wonderful memories over the many years of his full life. It is due to him and Fred that we are here in Canada. Thank you. Lots of love, the Aderkas family
Dear T.Karin and Family,
We are all very sad to hear of O.Rolf’s passing. As one of the Musterknaben he had a special place in our Baltic/Canadian history. I was very young in Palmerston and O.Rolf was staying with us during the week, he was building something nearby. He would bring candy for me and called me his Lollipop. Our deepest sympathy. Reni
Dear Karin and Family, Kurt and I were so sorry to hear of Rolf’s passing. We often shared with Fred stories of he and Rolf coming to Canada. You have a wonderful family and he gave so much to you and this country. He will be missed. With our sympathy and fond wishes to you all, Kurt and Stephanie
I (Marianne) will miss my APA dearly – many happy memories growing up and of the years at UWO where I resided with Apa and T. Karin sharing them with my 4 cousins! Several nice visits to Calgary subsequently created more memories. Apa always toured us around and never missed showing off some of his construction projects.
Mike remembers Apa providing him with a summer job during his university years and his generous hospitality while we resided in London.
Tante Karin, Barb, Lori, Amy and John and families- we feel your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you prepare to celebrate our Apa’s life – a life well-lived!
Marianne (“Ianne” as he would say) and Mike
Dear Karin:
I am sad to read of Rolf’s death. I have good memories of our early times in London and Hessen Road and after-the-dance parties at your house. Rolf was a truly Self-Made man. I respected him greatly. This is a difficult time for you and your family. In keeping with His courage I wish for you the strength to carry on. Wolter & Edith
Karin & family
I am so sorry to hear of Rolf’s passing. Our sincere condolences! Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It doesn’t seem like that long ago that I was in Calgary, staying at your house but I know it’s been too many years. I have been remarried for over 6 years already! Hope to see you again some day. Hugs, Brigitte & family
Dear Karin von Heyking,
Our sincerest condolences to you and you family. I fondly think back of the days I visited you and Rolf in London.
Yes! This was many many years ago, before your Calgary days. The last time we saw each other was in Guelph for the Batlic Reunion. There was lots of fun and laughter. Those are happy days that stay in our memory. We think of you in these difficult days and our prayers are with you.
Henry
