Obituary of Glynis Ellen Janet LAMB

April 24, 1953 – December 28, 2012 The family of Glynis Lamb of Calgary is sorrowed to announce her passing on Friday, December 28, at the Foothills Medical Centre. Cruel cancer has extinguished our guiding light. Glynis was born in Olds, Alberta and moved to Calgary with her family in 1966 where she attended King Edward Junior High and Western Canada High School. After high school, she earned her CGA designation and had a successful career in the accounting department of Norcen Energy. She retired from Norcen in 1988 to devote her full energies to loving, nurturing and guiding her children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to Glynis. Glynis is survived by Ed, her loving husband of thirty years; two daughters, Tamara (Bradley) Dingreville and Teresa Sutherland (Wayne Pedersen); four fantastic grandchildren, Kyle, Courtney, David and Samantha. She is also survived by her brother Roger (Donna) Watkin; her niece Sherrie (Frank) Enes; nephew Greg (Anita) Watkin; and by Ed’s two siblings, Edna (Louis) Nord and Murray Lamb. She was predeceased by her father Pim (1979) and mother Joan (2009). Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Private Family Graveside Service at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
