Please accept our sincere sympathy to you and your family.
It’s never easy to lose a loved one, and we know how special your dad was to you. He had many fine talents and was obviously able to pass on to Darren his passions and boundless curiousity about all living things.
I was shocked and saddened to learn today of the loss of Gordon, and regret being unable to attend the celebration of his life. I remember fondly conversation with Gordon and Val in the Faculty Club and elsewhere. My sincere condolences to Valerie and the family. Robert Woodrow
Dear Valerie and family; I am so sorry to hear of Gordon’s passing. I was very glad to have had a chance to talk to him in November and I wish I had been able to know him longer. What a lovely, thoughtful man. I am so sorry for your loss.
Dear Valerie,
Handsome, academic, charming, gentle, courteous, musical – attributes to which many aspire and few of us possess – yet Gordon did. We shall miss him enormously. With love from us both, John and Angela Harries.
Dear Valerie,
You have our deepest sympathy with respect to Gordon’s passing. We have lost a wonderful musician and personality. He will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with you. Although we only knew Gordon for the last few years through his work with big and small musical groups in Calgary it was great to have had the opportunity to see and hear him perform and to get to know him and share in his many interests.
