Obituary of Assunta Maria NORI

March 8, 1923 – December 20, 2012 Assunta Nori of Calgary passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Assunta was born in Tossicia, Teramo, Italy and immigrated to Canada on August 11, 1973 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was dedicated to her family and will always be remembered. Assunta is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Rocco and Maria Nori; daughter and son-in-law Emilia and Luigi Nori; three grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Nori, Michael and Carlina Nori, Angelo and Francine Nori; five great-grandchildren, Domenico, Nicolas, Angelica, Brandon and Christian. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Giovanni and Gioseppina Ricci; sister and brother-in-law Elda and Vincenzo Rapagna; sister-in-law Lucia Tesstardi and their families all of Italy. Assunta was predeceased by her husband Giosaffatte Nori on August 20, 1988 and a grandson Joseph David Nori on April 28, 1988. Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
