Obituary of Dorothy LANG
February 14, 1917 – December 15, 2012
Dorothy Lang (nee Lim) passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at a celebrated age of 95 years.
Born in Cumberland, British Columbia, she moved to the Guangdong province of China at the age of 9, following the death of her father. At the age of 18, she was betrothed to the late Jout Foong of Malaysia. She would later marry Charlie Hong, and upon his death, became the wife of the late Gum Lang.
Dorothy is survived by son Kenneth Foong; daughter Donna Walton; and by numerous nephews, nieces and grandchildren, including five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathy Jung; and her sons, Douglas Foong and John Foong.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
