Obituary of Carol Ann GRUNEWALD

November 11, 1942 – December 01, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce that Carol Grunewald (1942-2012) passed away December 1, 2012 at the age of 70 years after a courageous fight with breast cancer. She lived most of her life in Calgary and after attending the Alberta College of Art she renewed her passion for painting through which her creative spirit will live on. Her joy for painting is evident in the numerous landscapes and family and pet portraits that she has left behind. Her compassionate and giving nature is evident in all that she did. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Bob; mother, Inez; children, Kirby, Kim (Mike), Dan (Maureen), Bob Jr (Michelle), Joanne (Brad); seven grandchildren, Jaeline (Payden), Nathan, Kurtis, Jade, Ayden, Chad and Craig; her brother Bob (Dell); and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and extended family members and friends. Carol was predeceased by her father Fred and brother Ron. Carol devoted herself wholly to her family as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, and caregiver. A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway Cochrane Funeral Home (369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00pm.
