Obituary of Evdokia Donna DARKUN

October 4, 1923 – November 20, 2012 Donna Darkun passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2012 at the George Boyak Nursing Home at the age of 89 years. Born in the Ukrainian town of Mazkouzy, Donna came to Canada in 1949 and worked on a farm near Lethbridge, AB. She then moved to Calgary in 1952 and later worked in Eaton’s department store where she stayed for several years before taking an early retirement and enjoyed life at home with her husband. Donna was a member of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Donna is survived by her niece Luba and husband Ceriy and their two children, Macsem and Artum Muravchenko in the Ukraine. Donna was predeceased by her husband William Darkun Requiem Services will be held at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church (402 Meredith Road N.E.) on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
