Obituary of Noreen Elizabeth MAHONEY

December 16, 1925 – November 2, 2012 Noreen Mahoney passed away peacefully at Calgary’s Agape Hospice on Friday, November 2, 2012 at age 86. Noreen was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She came to Calgary after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan and began a long and rewarding career at the Holy Cross Hospital. After retirement, Noreen devoted her considerable time and energy to many interests and causes but the most important among them was her avid support of and involvement with The Kerby Centre from which she gained so much enjoyment. A truly intrepid explorer, Noreen will be lovingly remembered by her sister Lynn Garner, her niece and nephews, Claudia (Peter), Dick (Sheila), Curtis (Christall) and Wayne and by her grandnieces, Mallory, Meredith, Claire, Jan, Jenna, Breann, and Daysha. Noreen will also be remembered and deeply missed by a great many friends with whom she worked or played and whose lives were enriched by her friendship. The family would like to thank all those who gently cared for Noreen at Agape Hospice, Foothills Medical Centre and Garrison Green.
