We were deeply saddened to hear of Stan’s passing, while we were away on vacation. We are sorry we missed the memorial service. From all the stories we have heard and the times we were around him , he certainly seemed to be a wonderful dad. He had a great sense of humor and a huge heart!
Take confort in knowing that he is at peace now.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

51 years ago this August Mom was presented her daughter at the General Hospital by Irene. They did not know at that time they would become life long friends. Dad and Stan had met previous to this and worked together at Burns for many years. Our Mom + Dad’s had such great times together … dancing, trying to out fish each other, camping, horseshoes, playing cards, smoking and the odd drink of rum!! Which never made either Stan or Carl dumb!!! Mom seconds Doreen’s comment that Stan was such an awesome dance partner! May you rest in peace with Carl and Irene … fishing the days away with Carl and dancing the nights away with Irene to the sound of “The Green Green Grass of Home”! Thanks for being such a great friend and all the memories ….
To Clyde, Larry, Sheila, Shirley and families.

I was deeply saddened to hear of my dear friend’s passing. During his last trip to NL he stayed at my home with his brother Freeman. He was a wonderful man and we had a great week full of memories. May he rest in peace.

Stan was a longtime & treasured friend of The Wazynick Family. We are remembering your Dad as a conscientious family man who consistently supported his friends. We have so many fond memories that we shared with him over the years. He will be missed.
P. S. On a lighter note — he was an excellent dancer ( so light on his feet & could really lead – women at social functions always hoped that he would ask them to dance).
You are in our thoughts

Please accept our heartflet condolences on the passing of your Father and Grandfather. We have fond memories of brother and uncle Stan’s many visits to NL during his lifetime. He was a true gentleman and a pleasure to spend time with, we will all miss him very much. I’m sure if we could add it up, our Mother ( Emma ) and Uncle Stan spent months talking to each other on the telephone. They had a close bond and loved each other very much. Please take comfort in knowing that we are all thinking about you during this time.
Sincerely
The Smith Family
