George was the first neighbour we met when we moved to Calgary in 1999.
Over the years, we have enjoyed countless daily walks with George, Jackie and Stu ‘The Tude’. On warm summer days and frigid winter nights, we would walk our dogs together along the path overlooking the beautiful river valley. The dogs always watched out the window for George or ran to his back gate because he always had treats for them; he was not deluded about why they loved him. George was a daily fixture in our lives. We will miss seeing him and Stu walking up the path, with dog treats and cheerful chats over the fence.
Happily, we still have Jackie, who has taken up treat and chat duty. With Stuart, of course.
Goodbye George, good neighbour and friend. We will always think of you when we take the dogs walking along the path overlooking the beautiful river valley.
