Obituary of George Arthur ARCHBOLD

May 17, 1925 – July 25, 2012 Following a brief illness, George passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 25, 2012. Although he moved to Edmonton in the last year of his life to be nearer to family, he lived and worked for many years in the Calgary area and chose to call it home. George was predeceased by his wife of fifty-one years, Hazel; his brothers, Harold and Ted; and his three sisters, Helen, Isabel and Peggy. Leaving to mourn his passing are his children, Douglas (Cheryl) Archbold, Donald (Lynda) Archbold, Maryanne (Charlie) Wilson, Janice (Richard) Brant, and Kerry (David) Stratton; his grandchildren Jennifer Wise, Victoria Archbold, Jessica Love, Justin (Nicole) Archbold, Alexander (Melissa) Archbold, Alanna Wilson, Caitlin (Aaron) Congdon, Sarah Stratton, and Paris Stratton; and his great-grandchildren, Holly Wise, Jamie Archbold, Aaron Archbold, Stephen Archbold, Jason Archbold, and Abigail Archbold. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
