Obituary of Ida Anna VIANI

1935 –2012 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Ida Anna Viani on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the age of 76 years. She passed peacefully at home with her loving family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe Viani in 2002. She leaves behind her sons, Robert (Rosa) and Gino (Nancy); grandchildren, Joseph (Jennifer), Michael, Andrew, Ida and Paul; and two great-granddaughters, Sofia and Olivia. Ida was born in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy, on July 28, 1935. Ida married the love of her life Giuseppe Viani on May 5, 1956. Together they raised two wonderful sons. Most of all, she loved being a stay-at-home mom to her two children. Ida was the most kind and selfless person who was adored by everyone who knew her, she would do anything for her children and grandchildren each one loved her. Ida thoroughly enjoyed sewing, loved family traditions and hosting family dinners on holidays, she enjoyed visiting family in Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. A Private Family Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
