Obituary of June Marie JAMES

June 11, 1933 – July 18, 2012 June Marie James (née McLeod), of Calgary, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the age of 79 years after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Lower Truro, Nova Scotia, June attended Acadia University where she met Edward James, an aspiring geologist, whom she married in 1953. June went on to become an X-ray technician, and lived in Ontario, B.C., Australia, Indonesia and finally, Calgary. She enjoyed playing cards and summers in Nova Scotia. June is survived by her spouse, Edward, her two sons, Andrew and Ian, her daughter-in-law Marcha Davidson and her two grandchildren, Ella and Cameron. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (703 Heritage Dr. S.W.) on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
