Mr. Weisgerber taught me science in Junior high school at Cardinal Newman. He must have only been 26 at the time, but conducted a class as if he had been teaching for years. He was a great teacher and also had a good sense of humor especially considering he was teaching junior high students!

I am so deeply saddened at the news of Chad’s passing. I’ve known Chad since junior high, and had the privilege of calling him a friend throughout our high school and U of C days. Thanks to our broad circle of friends, we’ve kept in touch over the years, and I will forever remember his smile and generous heart. My thoughts are with you all.

The dash…it’s what we do between the time we’re born and the time we die…that’s what’s most important. It’s critical because the dash is your identity…it’s who you are—husband,dad, teacher, etc. The dash is your influence…it’s how you touch the lives of others. The dash is your legacy…it’s what you’ll leave behind to future generations.” Lori and I feel so blessed to have been a small part of Chad’s most excellent dash–he has definitely left a legacy!

Growing up with his sister, Tanya, I was so lucky to have the Weisgerber family as my second family. They always made me feel comfortable and Chad was no exception, teasing me as if I was a blood relation yet always there if you needed something. Chad was an amazing husband, father and person. He is going to be greatly missed. My thoughts, prayers and love go out to his family, especially his two daughters. They were always the sparkle in his eye.
