Obituary of Frances Elizabeth KELLY

March 10, 1922 – April 4, 2012 Frances Kelly passed away on April 4, 2012 at the age of ninety years. Fran was born in Meyronne, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm in McCord, Saskatchewan. She moved to Regina where she met Merv and they married in 1945. As a family in the Armed Forces, Merv, Fran and their children lived in many places in Canada and Germany. In Calgary she had a long career at Sears Chinook until her retirement. Fran enjoyed bowling, golfing and spending time with her family. The highlights of her summers were camping with her grandchildren in BC. Fran was a selfless, gentle person and a good friend to many. Fran is survived by her children and their spouses: Pat and Len Rabey, Ron and Marion Kelly; grandchildren and their spouses Shawna and Dave Weir, Kelly and Mark Stanton, and Sean Kelly; great grandchildren Ty, Olivia, Kamryn and Zoey. She is also survived by her brother Elmer, and sisters Vera and Wilma. Fran was predeceased by her husband Merv Kelly in 2009 and earlier by sisters Mildred and Lauretta. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
