Obituary of James Jim Kenneth VENABLES
August 27, 1955 – April 2, 2012
James Kenneth Venables, known to the world as Jim or VE6JKV, passed away in his sleep on Monday, April 2, 2012.
He was predeceased by his parents Art and Ivy Venables; and father-in-law Herbert Haschke.
Jim is survived by his wife and soul mate of thirty-four years Karin Venables. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Helga Haschke; three brothers, Ted, Robert and Gary Venables ; and the daughter of his heart, Melanie Goldsworthy.
Jim was an avid amateur radio operator who is now a Silent Key. He had so many interests and friends that kept him living hard rather than waiting to be overcome by the severe heart disease that plagued him for the last twelve years of his life. His sense of humour will be missed but any and all that knew him will remember him with a smile. His amazing accumulation of knowledge and the ability to remember it all will be missed by those he taught.
Jim, I will always love you.
