Obituary of Margaret Berta BEALING

November 21, 1911 – March 18, 2012 Margaret passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the age of 100 years. She lived her entire life in Calgary as a homemaker and after the death of her husband Edward (Red) in 1958, worked in the downtown Eaton’s Store in the Jewellery department until her retirement. In her youth she was an accomplished swimmer and basketball player and bowled until the age of 94. Margaret raised her two children alone through most of their childhood. She lived her life with strength, passion and conviction; and always had an opinion on everything. Most of all she possessed an endless love for her family, a love that may not have been always understood but never questioned. Berta will be sadly missed by her two children, Wayne (Barbara) and Eleanor (Paul), her seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and six nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a very special thanks to all Lake Bonavista Village staff members who made her stay so pleasant these past four years.
