Obituary of Barbara Barb RUSHFORTH

December 3, 1976 – March 17, 2012 Our beautiful Barb took the hand of God and crossed over peacefully with her husband and sisters by her side on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Barb is survived by her husband Alexander; children, Dominik and Kristian; step-son Evan; parents Paul and Ana Jurcic; sisters, Kristina and Natascha Jurcic (Jeremiah); nephew and niece Julius and Sascha; mother-in-law Sheila Rushforth; father-in-law Paul Rushforth (Nancy); sister-in-law Amanda; and her Uncle and Godfather Tomo Jurcic and the rest of her family in Croatia. Throughout Barb’s struggle with a brain tumor her faith, courage and laughter inspired us all. Barb’s primary focus was always on her family and keeping a positive outlook, encouraging everyone who knew her to do the same. Barb always strived to live in the present and make the most of every moment. She was passionate about traveling, especially to her native country of Croatia and loved the mountains and the sea and always celebrating life to the fullest. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In honor of Barb’s wishes, we will continue the Light It Up Fundraiser on an annual basis with the proceeds going to others struggling with this disease.
